I noticed sometimes after driving for extended amounts over 2 hours, the engine sounds almost like my dads 03 boxster, very airy and almost raspy can hear the valves more. The engine has full oil and runs strong, just wondering sometimes if other AP1 motors sound like these sometimes?

 

like its running on 3 cylinders? i would check your retainers

 

No more like, just more mechanical sounding in nature. The engine pulls hard from all rpms, I just notice it more with the top down, and when I drive by fences or solid walls, I can hear a more prominent mechanical noise.
