Default Engine swap

It should be just a plug and play right? Engine only no tranny swap.

06 and up ap2's are drive by wire. you need an 04 or 05 engine to make it plug and play. and you'll also probably want to grab an 04/05 ecu

Definitely 04-05 to make it easy...but don't bother with the ecu. The ap1 ecu works fine on the F22 and will let you rev to 9k. You should however keep your right foot in check and shift at 8500 at most. Get a Modifry shift beeper and set it to give the last beep at 8500 for safety.

02-03 ecu's are leaner than 00-01, i think most people who put an ap1 ecu on the f22 go for the 00-01

I have a spare 04 engine, an 02 car plus a spare 00 ecu. I'm presuming I'll need a VAFC or something similar to flesh out the curve but that's not the issue.

I was just wondering if there were any strange connection problems.
