Got a hold of a honda oem tester, we got a look at the PIDs.

Two are of importance:
Spark advance at idle should be 13° to 18°. Mine was at 5°, then down to 2°, then 9°, then 3°.. you get the idea. The values were changing at about 1-3 seconds.

When the Spark advance was at 4.2°, the Knock retard was at 5.4 (at idle it should have been 0).

Mechanic suggested we swap the ECU. Gonna take out the engine-ecu harness for some wire replacements and after that swap the ecu as well. I'll get to the bottom of this if it's the last thing I do. At least now I know what's off.

You guys ever get this resolved? Now that I know what to search for I have found this thread. I am posing to +1 that the MAP and TPS connectors are likely swapped. I just resolved this with the help of my dad yesterday. Same symptoms as is posted here. Good luck.

Just checked, the sockets are installed ok. That's not it, in my case at least.

Might as well update this thread.

Had a recent oil change (Castrol Edge 5W30) and had a decent run yesterday (car doesn't get used much anymore), when my friends who drove behind me said it blew blue smoke when pulling away, in the very high rpm's a blue puff and when getting back on throttle.

I never noticed it in my mirror, untill yesterday I suddenly saw a blue cloud appear when I revved it once or twice at a red light...

This morning as well, blue smoke in my mirrors when I pulled away at a stop.
And then at idle I gave it short revs up to 3000rpm and it created another cloud of blue smoke.

I allready have an oil catch can and considering the other issues I have I'm afraid I'm looking at worn piston rings?

No insights on this new problem?

Only appears to do it on a warm engine. Not always, but I can make it happen at idle by revving it...
Also did it once on startup after I had moved it with a cold engine and let it run for like 2 minutes. I shut it off and then started it up 5 mins later and it had blue smoke.
That was the only time so far it did it on startup.

(white) Smoke also comes out of the oil catch can breather (vents in atmosphere)....

It's clearly burning oil. You'll need to do a leak down test to try and determine how it's getting into the cylinder.

I've drivin it some more now, blue smoke problem disapeared completely...

This whole situation still makes zero sense to me.

Still need to do a leakdown test though. I once had the compression tested with a drop of oil in the cylinders, but that didn't show anything bad.

Not sure if I mentioned it somewhere yet, but the car also starts "weak". Where as my other engine would fire up very strong immediatly, this one takes 2 cranks and it seems it has a lot more resistance. That's also exactly how the engine feels at lower rpm, like it struggles with internal resistance or something.
Yesterday I switched keys with a friend of mine who also has an S2k and the difference in driving isn't as a big as I remembered. Mine even seems to respond a lot faster on throttle, but is slightly less smooth.
I do have a testpipe, that could explain the difference in throttle response.
