HEY... i dont really know whats going on with my car... my check engine light and maint. req. light has been on for like 10,000 miles.. i tried to reconnect the battery to see if it reset it. but nothin... i had a oil change not too long ago.. about 2,000 miles... my car is an 01' with 45 k on the engine. i have catback exhaust.. short air intake... Apex'i V-AFC..and a ZEX nitrous kit at a 55 shot.. my plugs are the ZEX plugs for turbo or nitrous applications.. anyways.. about the troubles.. my engine seems to idle weird.. it gets sluggish when im accelerating slowly... and my VTEC doesnt seem to give me as much of a kick as it used to.. sometimes my idle drops to below lik 700.. and then sometimes it stats over 1200.... i an feel a major difference in the power and reliability of my engine since i started using the nitrous occasionally.. maybe i just ruined my motor if somebody could give me some advice that would be great.. i got a 100,000 mile warranty as well.. so.. i guess i could always place my car to stock..try to take it back.. well please reply with info...!

 

You've had a CEL and a Maint. light on for 10 THOUSAND miles and you're just now asking about it

Good luck fixing it. Hopefully someone else will be able to offer you some insight, but it doesn't sound like a situation I'd like to be in.

 

i was to over shadowed of the fact i got a 100,000 mile warranty.. i figured everything ill be fine if soemthing goes wrong... as soon as i get my car out of the body shop from molding and painting.. im going to throw my stock parts on and drive to the dealership! anybody else got any ideas???

When you say wack, it how hard would you say....like tap it with keys or go all out and beat it with a screwdriver?

 

I used a screwdriver handle and lightly tapped mine twice to get it's attention. Amazing attitude change resulted, been good since.

 

CEL on is pretty straightfoward. Start with a scan, don't guess your way out.
