I have an 05 with 11,000 miles. I t is a weekend toy but I have decided to make this a daily driver car. I know the s2000 engine is noisy when idle but I notice a separate noise near the oil filter. It sounds like a vacum cleaner when being turn on. I have a k&n drop-in filter(replacement of ome filter), J's racing carbon snorkel and skunk 2 (1.3 radiator cap). No other mods. Royal Purple 10w30 engine oil, Prestone radiator fluid with Redline water wetter. Is it normal for this type of vacum noise? The car drives fine without power loss, v-tec engages smoothly, no engine check light, transmission shifts normal. I still have warranty until the end of March 2008. I will take it in the dealer to ask. I appreciate your input and opinion so when I bring it to the dealer I will have some general concepts.

 

Its the air pump, don't worry it. If you can hear it, it is operating normally.
