EPS stands for Electric Power Steering. Means something in your power steering system is not as it should be. There will be a diagnostic trouble code a dealer can read. You could try disconnecting the battery for a while and re-connecting but that is unlikely to help. There is also a centering procedure in the Helms shop manual you could try, again only if you're a billion miles from a dealer.

I had the same problem after taking the car out of storage. Shortly after, the car shut down. Bad alternator with 3500 miles, covered under warrenty.

if the car sits and is running for a while this happens ie 15-20 mins, as soon as you turn the wheel it will go away, if your car sits for long periods this happens to.
