Arrow EPS Problem?

Hey guys... backing out of my driveway this morning (after about a 5 minute warm up) my EPS light comes on and my power steering goes out. I drive up the street a bit and cut off the car and restart and it's fine. Recently i've noticed since installing the Stoptech #2 upgrade that my steering has felt exceptionally light. could i have done something during the install that might have adversely affected my EPS?

Also, anyone have an idea of the cost of these things in case i need to have it replaced?

Thanks all!!

(after about a 5 minute warm up)
Please explain exactly how you do this. Then I'm wondering "why" you warm up for so long. Is it exceptionally cold out?

I wanted to know "how" you warmed the car up. Here's what I'm getting at ............

Running the engine at 3000 rpm or above for 3 minutes or more with the car stationary will trip the EPS light. Now, you understand why I asked?

If you have a yellow box for rear end gears installed it could be a bad connection. Your speedometer will show 0 if that is the case.

ahh i see... yeah well i *think* i revved it up to around 3k but i seriously doubt it was for 3 minutes... i guess it could have been as the windshield was pretty good and covered w/ ice. I'll go w/ that as the reason because it is the most logical.

now as far as the steering feeling lighter since doing my brake upgrade (stoptech #2 brake upgrade: pads, rotors, lines, etc..)... i'm not sure why that has happened. i guess the rotors could be lighter and that could make the steering lighter although i somehow doubt they are.

and while i'm at it i just want to give xviper a plug cos the guy is always around to answer fellow S2KIers queries... i appreciate all the help man! you're a hell of a resource
