No power steering, no EPS light

Default No power steering, no EPS light

Ever since I installed the yellow jacket the eps went out so I figured after reading some threads that a stronger ground was need it, When this didnt work I decided to take it out and put thing back to stock. This still hasnt solved the problem with the power steering not working and I am getting no EPS light either, I have no idea what the problem could be, If anybody could help me I would really appreciated.

Try EPS fuse? That's odd that it wont give you a light. My guess is the fuse/ relays if there are any relays.

The fuse is fine, the other weird thing is that the EPS light doesnt even turn on when you first start the car.

Check fuse No.5 (7.5A) under-dash

All the fuses under the dash are fine, any other ideas? the car is a pig without power steering, and I'm really frustrated because just two days before this happened my top got slashed so it hasnt been a good week.

Man, that sucks.

Has the car ever been in a flood? or in deep water?

I have heard of EPS systems going bad years after an occurrence like that, like the rust gets bad and you have to open it up and clean it out.

no, no floods or anything like that, It's basically been sitting in the garage for the past week or so, the only thing done to it was the yellow jacket but now thats all out of there, so I dont know what it could be. I at least wish I had the EPS light but no such luck.

Do this if you don't have DTC set.

Check the RED wire between the EPS control unit and the motor for a short to body ground. Repair as needed.

If the RED wire is OK, replace the steering gearbox (short in the motor).

Hi.. I have the eps light on and i have trouble doing the reset.. I hava a single scs connector under the dash and its a eudm ap1 and its 2 brown wires and i checked the manual its the right wires for the eps..
but i stumble upon when i short the connector i cant get it to go to erase mode just blinks the codes no matter how i turn the wheel left..says 45° but i guess it looks like if the 45° is translatet on to a 1/4 turn to left from straight which is minimal..but i tried that and more and every time goes to displaying the codes.. Can anybody help?
I have an obd port too and tried shorting rhe 4 and 9 pin nothing happends.

Sorry to revive an old thread, did you by chance figure this out? I'm also having issues getting it into reset mode.
