Well we gave up for the night -- its 1am lol

Anyway, Like I said we broke 2 of the bolts so I cannot use them to mount the invidia system so we need to get them out of there some how. Problem is, they are almost welded in there from all the rust. We tried beating on it with a mallet, no go. If no one has any ideas (will be trying Liquid wrench) we are going to have to take a hacksaw to it and then bang out the remain thread

Did you take the cat off and then try to bang them out? You could get more leverage with the cat off the car. The other option would be just to drill them out.

you took the wrong ones out...the ones that you broke were "like" studs the nuts on the other side are what you wanted to remove.

and no, the "studs" are going to be a pain in the ass to get out of the cat.

It's too late now to use Liquid Wrench. The studs have to be pounded out. You may have to use a torch to heat them up. Best to take the cat off and do it off the car.

One of the tricks to removing rusty nut/bolts is to use Liquid Wrench but you really need to apply it liberally and let it soak in for at least a few hours. I soaked each bolt and wrapped each one with a bit of Saran Wrap which helps to keep the penetrant from evaporating.

@Silver9k -- We took the nuts off of the bolts but in the process of trying to turn them off they took part of the bolt with them

@Xviper -- a torch might be a good idea, eithor way I think I will be taking off the cat and going from there

Thanks for the ideas

same prob when I did mine... what xviper said... just take the cat off the car and bang um out. Doing it with it on the car up on stands is iffy.

We finally got the exhaust installed. Thanks Xviper for the idea of Liquid Wrench. I went out to home depot, bought some and some silicone spray (works great!), sprayed it on the car, then with a large mallet and some elbow grease, I knocked the bolts right out without even having to take off the cat.

As for the invida. Words cannot describe. Crazy loud but sooooooooooooo nice. Anyway, I am making the comparison video right now, I'll post it probably by tommorow when I am done editing.

Thanks for all the help
