Sounds reasonable. OK. I buy it. That's my new plan. Darn the extra click I have subject my index finger to for lowering my window all the way. That should help me burn like .03 calories every time I do it.

WACKY UPDATE WACKY UPDATE WACKY UPDATE WACKY UPDATE WACKY UPDATE

You guys are not going to beleive this. I decided to tough it out and let sleepy dogs lay. i.e. not get this fixed.

Without having done a single thing differently, my express window down came back to life gradually. Now it really works 100% of the time. How weird is that?

hehe atleast it works.

As for your concern on the door... mine was taken off when the new speakers were put it... no problems with the clips or anything. Still solid.

had my regulator replaced last spring, and it hasn't happened since. no door rattle. door panel was also off to place dynamat in door when the speakers were changed out...still no rattle...so i wouldn't worry about that.

it just became so damn frustrating that i had to have it fixed...don't worry you'll get there...

good luck.

I have an '02 that had the same symptoms about 10 times in a couple days (at about 2000 miles), then it started working again. I don't know what the deal was, but it has worked fine ever since, and I now have 7600 miles.

Wait a couple days before you take it in for repair. I bet it will start working again.

Mine has been busted forever but I thought it was something I did when I ran speaker wire through that wire loom. Guess not... Interesting observation though... If the window is in the up position, ie closed, it NEVER goes express down. If I roll the window down and then back to the up closed position, then the express down will start working again, but not for long... Wonder why huh? I just attribute that to the personality of the car...

Esp after seeing people on thier 8th and farther switches. damn.
