Default A/F Question.. super rich at WOT.

Like the title says my 02 is running super rich. I got a wideband installed and at WOT it is running ~11 to 12 and around 8k in dips into the 10s. I've seen it as low as 10.2. Is this normal? I can't see how it is with my current mods. It just doesn't make sense. Current mods are I,H,T,E. I thought those mods would lean the shit out of it. So question is should I get a throttle body to help lean it out? I was going neo to help richen it up but it seems that I don't need it. Thanks!

Pretty sure the ecu only reads the O2 sensor at partial throttle, at WOT there is a fixed map. Also when you're WOT at 8k rpm, it's probably better to be overly rich than to be slightly lean

You can't enrich the A/F with a Neo, you can only lean it out. VAFC's only allow you to (indirectly) remove fuel from the mixture. Therefore a VAFC would allow you to alter your A/F curve to run leaner. Where do you have the wideband installed? 10-11 is pretty rich especially for an N/A car.

Yea that's what I was thinking, but if your too rich your loosing power correct? And I did not know that about the neo. Thanks. I was under the impression you could do both. Its junk anyways. Hooked it up and sent the car in random misfire. Took it off ran fine. My wideband is in the header. The Berk has a bung for it. Would spark plugs have something to do with it? It has some v power NGK in there now. The shop put them in trouble shooting for the misfire code the neo was putting off. And if I do get a sos throttle body it should lean in out but could it also lean it out to much at partial throttle and idle?

lolwut?

Don't blame the Neo; it just wasn't set up properly. I successfully ran a Neo for two years. You just have to set it up correctly and understand its limitations.

I didnt personally hook it up. I had a performance shop do it, they have done many neos and never had an issue. They hooked it up and started the car and it started rough idling and check engine light started blinking. Checked the code it was a p1399. It some how was making it misfire. I have no idea. They changed plugs, coils and still same thing. Took it off, runs fine. They triple checked all the wires to make sure they where correct everything was correct. The neo came off of a 240, maybe whatever they had stored in the neo was throwing the car off. Idk the mechanic we threw the every setting and still nothing.
