Default fan switch/ thermostat

Hey guys, i'm soon due for a coolant flush, and im pondering about replacing my fan switch and thermostat while at it (aftermarket, mugen, spoon, j's, ect), the question is now, would it be worth it?
no i do not track the car, yet i do from time to time drive hard on very hot weather.
would i feel the benefit of a cooler fan switch/thermostat?
if i would, what are my options now a days? (brands)
thanks a lot in advance

No need for that. Later on when you decide to track the car, the best thing you can get (And actually need for track) is a oil cooler.

get the OEMs. better now than finding out you have to do it....and having to buy coolant again. I regretted not doing BOTH those things. 3 flushes later, I'm good again lol

I have never had a thermostat failure. I've owned many Hondas over the years and the cooling system weak link has always been the radiator. I typically change the thermostat whenever I perform a coolant flush, ~50-60k miles. At that time it is convenient and cheap.

I have had 1 fan switch failure at the 250k mile mark. I replaced the faulty part with a NAPA piece, it too went bad after 5k miles miles. Replaced it again, put 60k miles on the vehicle before I sold it and never had a problem.

I think you'll get a grab bag of responses, but in general I think they are reliable components.
