Default Final Gear for MY04 S2K

Hi! I'm planning to buy a Final Gear from Ricks. Does anyone know which gear ratio is better for the MY04 (2004 S2K)? 4.33? 4.44? 4.57? or 4.77?

I want to go 4.57.. because rick's 4.57 is stronger than the other ones. But I heard 4.57 is way too extreme for the MY04 on the other thread. due to the 2.2L engine.

Can someone help me? Appreciated!

So, you think 4.57 will be fine with the MY04?

Cause, I read in previouse thread.. some guy said 4.3 on a MY04 will be equivalent to a 4.77 on the pre-MY04 s2000s.

I don't know all these calculations and stuffs. But this guy wrote a very long post with all kind of theories about the strokes of the MY04 engine. It seem to make sense.

4.77 on a pre-my04 seem to be the most extreme I would go.

"Fine" is a matter of personal choice and depends on how the car is used.
Here is a calculator for an '04. Plug in some numbers and see what works for you:

Also consider that MY04 gears 1-4 ar 4% shorter gears stock. This would be like a 4.26 rear on a MY00-03 a 4.57 would feel like 4.75(again just doing a 1.04*4.57)

Personally my MY04 pulls plenty hard as is in 1-4. In fact when I go FI I'm considering making the final gear taller so as not to race through 1-4 so fast...

Edit: Gear 5 is 1% shorter... 6th gear is 2% taller
