first oil change at the dealership?
ok so today i was ready and about to change my oil myself on my new 07 s2000 and my dad calls and tells me that i need to have the stealeships do the first oil change or it'll void my warranty. is this true?
i know for my previous 06 s2000 i had the stealership do the first oil change and never again went back because i got pissed that they used Q oil and not mobile1 and they used a PLM filter instead of a PCX filter. so yeah.
basically, is it true that i'll lose my warranty if i dont let the stealerships do my first oil change?

No, just keep your receipts to prove you did it as required. You should also write something down in the maintenance record with date, mileage, type of oil, and filter. Dealers can't require you to use them for maintenance, but if something comes up under warranty, the more records you have of self-maintenance the better.
