you could try fitting in an acura rsx-s. Those engines mod easily and its got a little more room. Its still a 6 speed and you could pull out 400 with a turbo.

I'm with that early post: fit yourself into an S2000. At 305 you could use a weight reduction anyway (:

Next option would be using a RENESIS from the RX-8. I'm sure it can be aquired cheaper, is smaller, and produces simlar output. A supercharger or turbo can be attached as well.

A crazy friend of mine actually wants to put a turbo'd RENESIS into a Miata. Talk about a pocket rocket ...

I have a couple of thoughts. There are some threads on this site about a seat lowering mod for the S2000. Basically, it involves modifying the bottom of the stock seat to make it sit lower in the car. This might be something you're interested in, although there's still no guarantee it would give you enough space to fit.

My only other thought was that if you're thinking daily driver, you may want to think long term reliability. LS6 vs. a turboed F20C? I know where I'd put my money in terms of reliability... unless you plan on properly building the F20C for forced induction. But in that case, I'd think the LS6 would end up being just as cheap, if not cheaper than a blown F20C done "right".

But that's just my wild assed speculation.

You're barking up the wrong tree man. First of all there are like two cars on this entire board that have put down the kind of power you are talking about. I wouldn't even guess what those guys have into their setup but it's a lot of dough. At that kind of horsepower the drivetrain is entirely too weak. You can't drop in a Ford rearend.

I don't want discourage creativity but with the kind of money your are talking about you can go buy a vette. They have up to $10,500 in incentives.
