Default fitting spoon headgasket to a low kms engine?

i've got the spoon high compression headgasket sitting around, and am thinking of fitting it to the car, but since the kms is relatively low @ only 2900km, do you think it's advisable to just wait till the engine has sort of broken in etc at say 10,000kms to fit it?

something about ripping open a new engine scares me...

Actually you can fit it anytime but your engine is too new for engine mod so IMO, do it when you have 8k or more.
