Default Spoon Engine?

Has anyone heard of a spoon engine? If so, what exactly is it? Someone approached me and said that S2K's have one, and that it doesn't use cylinders. I had no idea what he was talking about, and he couldn't elaborate for me at all. Any ideas?

That's what I said. They (Spoon) makes engine parts, but not an engine. And "not using cylinders"? I can only assume he might be thinking of the rotary. Not exactly a honda design. Thanks for the reassurance. For a minute there, I actually thought this kid was right.

Spoon does make engines. They use their own parts and tune the engine to their specs. The motors have higher compression and various other options to choose from. The price I believe ranges anywhere between $7K and $15K.

As for what the engine is, its just a reworked F20C, its nothing any more special than that.

Really? Wow...Well it uses cylinders, not like that guy told him. And even higher compression? It's so high stock though...And Is it worth the 7-15k? I wouldent expect to much more power out of it.

The spoon engine is supposed to let you rev up to 12000 rpm.

I saw the Spoon S2k run in the newest Best Motoring video.
And it does go pass 10k rpm's for sure.
But power is rated at 265hp

I know of some guys who blew a type R one up on a racetrack! VERY expensive. Their engines are built to fit into the rules of certain race series. If you don't run in a race series that has these specific rules, it's a VERY expensive way to get power.

More power can be gained, cheaper, other ways.
