i have a year 2000 with 12000 miles. i was going to change all fluids and check hoses this mouth before i put it back on the road for the summer. i have researched dealers in my area and will pay to have it done as if anything goes wrong its on there dime.

ehh no, you'll want to hold their hand through the process a little bit.

I wouldn't count on them being responsible every time they mess up. They're still in business, right?

Not sure what prompted you to excavate this thread...

Worst idea ever.

They're called stealerships for a reason. Many S2000 have had differential destroyed because dealer used wrong fluid. Many engines have been destroyed due to dealer not torquing filter (a special requirement for the filter used on our cars), or even entire car lost due to fire from filter coming loose.

In virtually all of these instances, dealers will blame customer. Try and charge you money to fix issues they caused. Then fix those issues poorly, which ends up causing more issues.

Dealers rarely see these cars, therefore aren't familiar with their needs. Worse, they think they know all, and no one else knows anything.

Bringing a car to a dealership for service is a recipe for disaster and headache.

Find someone local that has S2000 specific experience.
