Default Flywheel shims required?

I just had my flywheel resurfaced and it needed.045" removed. Shims are available in.025"

Question is, should i go with 2 and be.005 over or go with 1 and be.020 under?

Amazon only has 1 in stock but ill wait for more if i have to. I want to do this right

I didn't even think of that, .045" isnt that much though like 1.1mm... I was thinking without the spacer there may be a tad bit less spring pressure from the PP but that was it.

If our cars have a clutch problem, its with sufficient release, not sufficient clamping (for NA engines). A little extra space might be a good thing. I wouldn't do 2 shims for this reason.

.045 is a massive amount to remove from a flywheel, I find that impossible.

In any case, never shim the flywheel.

The bolts holding the frictiom had worn into the flywheel, i was able to catch my finger nails on it. I was told.045" came off.
