Default Found some disconnected wires

I was doing a bit of cleaning in the engine bay today when I noticed a couple wires that had been sort of tucked to the side that I somehow had never spotted before. Anyways I was wondering what exactly they were for. The only thing I could think of was maybe it was for an alarm that the previous owner had but decided to keep. It looks like something that should be hooked up but I haven't had any sort of problems at all with my S so I'm not sure if it matters or not. (It is hooked up to the negative terminal though)I'm sure someone on here will know.

Now for the pics.
In the second picture the yellow piece on the positive terminal has nothing attached to it which makes me think that is what these should be hooked up to.

Any help is appreciated!

I wouldn't remove it...I'd get a V1 and hook it up!
