Default fuel leak s2000 NEED HELP!

so i think i have a fuel leak for my 2002 s2000. when the top is down and when i get out of my car half of the time it smells like raw gasoline other times i don't smell anything at all. whenever i do smell something i look underneath the car and their aren't any drips of puddles (but then again gasoline evaporates fast especially during the summer time).

i plan on checking my fuel lines for any ruptures, leaks, or just loose clamps or bolts or w/e later tonight or tomorrow morning once i get more information on what i am actually doing

heres the picture from the s2000 service manual

i was wondering whats the best way for me to check the fuel lines (or easiest way)
i tried initially feeling underneath the car but didnt feel anything off the bat. when i get a chance i will put my car on 4 jack stands and was wondering is there anything covering the fuel lines that i need to take off underneath the car

questions?
-any area that i need to check particularly first?
-what would be the easiest way to go about finding my leak or rupture
-is there a correlation between why i smell it sometimes and other times i don't?
-does this smell going on and off mean that the leak isnt that bad? (even though i will change and address the problem right away) i just want to know whether or not it would be safe to drive anywhere
- how dangerous would it be to drive?
- does the 2002 year fuel tank have a metal or plastic tank? (also how should i check for rust and which spot would be the best way to look at the fuel tank while still on the car)
-i heard that i can spray soapy water along the lines and if there are any bubbles then that's where my leak would be

ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
if i do find what is wrong then should i just order the parts from honda and install it myself or take it to the shop ( i do most of my own work on the car but i never tackled anything along the lines of fuel system but i do have the service manual)
if i can't find anything then i will be taking it to the shop immediately afterwards

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP i honestly don't want to blow up lol.

Depends on how hard you're stepping on it. The car runs quite 'rich' if that's the right word if you're WOT'ing a lot. On our group runs you can often smell the car in front of you, especially if the top is down.

At least once every summer I have this happen. I usually don't notice it until I park in the garage and get out. I've discussed this with many other people and have come up with a few theories, but nothing really tested.

it feels that the smell is coming from in front of me, and yeah its more noticeable if anything when i WOT the car but if i drive casually i don't tend to notice anything. should i be concerned then?

is what is happening to me a common problem among s2000's? i wasnt able to really look up anything on the common problems/solutions thread, or is this more along the lines of me having a fuel leak

how can it be leaking if you see no leaks? probably a weird question but do you know what i mean? the gas lines are right under the car and if there was a leak you would see it. also if there was a leak you would see it accumulate overnight and see the drops on the ground.

when i got WOT and then park it. i can smell a hint of gasoline. after 5 min tho its gone. i wouldnt worry about it. also if you have exhaust and/or TP you would smell it more. i got exhaust and TP and when i was at HC2 cruise in cali the guy behind me didnt like me

I've noticed the same thing in my 2002 S2000. I got a gas small in the cabin during autocross, while waiting in line for a second run. Also occasionally a small whiff in the garage. No sign of leaking fluids...
