I've only had my S for a week, so I'm just getting to know her. My soft top is in good shape, and I'd like to keep it that way. Looking at TSB 09-033, my 2008 falls later than the VIN for the first problem (tear in right rear). The second part talks about tears "at the front lock assembly". Is this where the the latch rests on the top when folded?

Here is a pic of my top folded. The part of the latch on the left is pressing firmly against the top. Is this the problem area? Should I reinforce this before it tears? The TSB shows that the latches are replaced. Will the updated latches prevent this problem?
