Default Gear Lock-Out and Throttle Vibration

I recently purchased a 2001 S2000 this summer. I am not sure what I did (I probably stripped the gear doing some spirited driving). But for the past 4 or 5 days, the car hasn't allowed me to access 6th gear. I don't have an owner's manual or trouble shooting guide and wondered if there is anything I can do to get the car to let me back in to 6th gear. It is really frustrating. Plus, gas mileage isn't as good with cruise set in 5th instead of 6th.

Also, I am not sure if this is common for all S2ks or just mine. After I reach a cruising speed and let off the accelerator, there is an annoying vibration (from the throttle maybe). This occurs even when cruise control is activated (around 35-50 mph I notice). But if I step on the accelerator, it goes away. Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about cars, especially this one. I just know that I love this car. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

The vibration could be the clutch disc vibrating or making noise while decelerating. There is a recall from Honda about this. Your $tealer should be able to tell you if they have been completed.

When the car is off, can you access 6th gear? The return spring normally tries to keep you in the 3/4 gears so you have to put quite a bit of rightwards pressure to get to 6th. Could be that the clutch is not disengaging fully to allow you to enter 6th, perhaps related to the vibration.
