Gear Ratios
I have been looking around the site for a while and have not found anything that makes a good comparison between AP1 and AP2 gear ratios. I made this spreadsheet some time ago and I had to go back and change it to work with our cars.
You can view the spreadsheet using two options:
1. If you do not have a spreadsheet program you can view it here., however there is no graph function.
2. If you have a spreadsheet program, the file can be downloaded here.
You can modify the tire size, fuel cut-off, secondary ratio, final ratio, and any of the ratios in columns C and D and the spreadsheet will automatically update.
The gears 1-5 are shorter and 6th is longer for the AP2. The shift speeds are recommended from AP2 owner’s manual (not sure if they are the same for AP1).
This is not to be used on a real world application, and you should calculate your gear ratios yourself before modifying your car.
It does not take into account any tire deformation, road conditions, and speedometer calibration. I have seen varying values from multiple locations for the gear ratio information but I think this site is the most accurate:

Hmm?...
I was under the assumption that ap2 transmissions have 5-6th(not just 6th) as the longer gears than the ap1 transmission?
Ap2's go to 58 mph at the top of 2nd gear while the ap1's are a little over 60 mph(this is why the the 0-60's are slower for the ap2's than ap1's, they have to shift twice to get to 60 mph).
Top of 3rd gear for an ap1 will hit 90 mph while an ap2 will only reach 80 mph.
I'm running stock wheels w/ stock size tires.
