well, i have a question that i would really apriciate if u answer it for me.. i had an accident in my S2000. when the winch pulled the car from the ground to the winch the gear was put on thrird or forth i dont remember exactly.. the four tires rotated clearly when he pulled it.. the body is being repaired now and they didnt check the mechanics yet.

do u think that pull caused damage to the gearbox? please reply ill be thankful

 

There is no damage at all, you had your car in a gear that was too weak to resist rolling. What you were actually doing was spinning the engine as the car was rolling.

I wouldnt worry about it. As long as the key was off. If you had a decent speed going and the key on, you would've probably actually push-started the car.

but its good practice to tow/push the car in neutral though
