Default Gearbox Problem

I own a 2002 S2000 with 30,000 miles. My problem is that i was driving along the motorway last night and was at 8000 rpm in fourth and went for sixth gear and it crunched and would not engage properly. Then i went to go from sixth to fifth and it was not engage at all. Got up this morning and took the car for a drive and it was perfect then after letting it warm up i started driving harder and again the same problems occurred ! I know Honda gearboxes suffer syncro problems but i am just wondering is it the syncro and if it is how much will it roughly cost to fix or could it be a problem with something else e.g. clutch ?

Thanks Chris

4th to 6th? You might have already screwed up your trans. Skipping gears is a big no no.

When was the last time the transmission oil was changed?
What kinda oil was used?

First thing I would do is get some fresh MTF or simular in there.
