Default Gearbox Problem

I own a 2002 S2000 with 30,000 miles. My problem is that i was driving along the motorway last night and was at 8000 rpm in fourth and went for sixth gear and it crunched and would not engage properly. Then i went to go from sixth to fifth and it was not engage at all. Got up this morning and took the car for a drive and it was perfect then after letting it warm up i started driving harder and again the same problems occurred ! I know Honda gearboxes suffer syncro problems but i am just wondering is it the syncro and if it is how much will it roughly cost to fix or could it be a problem with something else e.g. clutch ?

Thanks Chris

There have been some threads on the board about 5th-6th synchros failing in this tranny, primarily due to skip-shifting. Do a search and you'll find quite a bit of info.

I'm not sure if this is the problem you're having or how much it would be to do the work to fix.
