is there any way to tell if my car has gears other than stock ap2 gears. i seem to be getting really poor mileage compared to my buddies ap1 and on the freeway i hear a faint whining sound. i bought the car from a mitsubishi dealer about a year ago and noticed right away the bfg kdw tires and apex'i ws II exhaust before i bought it, so i know it was modded but just not how much. any info would be appreciated, thanks!

if you have stock gears 4000rpm in 3rd will be 39mph and 49.7mph in 4th

factor in speedo error a little bit and just shoot for roughly 40mph at 4k in 3rd and 50mph at 4k in 4th, you should know pretty quickly if you have factory gears or not.
