FWIW, Castrol Syntorq is the only MTF that GM and Chrysler authorize for use in the New Venture NV4500 transmission that is used in GM and Dodge trucks. I do know for a fact that the NV4500 uses some type of fiber synchro's. I won't swear to it, but I *think* that the fiber used is carbon fiber. so I doubt that Castrol Syntorq would have any deleterious effects on the synchro's.

well that doesnt apply to us since we dont have CF synchros in ap2 transmissions. We have carbon coated brass.
