Default Grinding sound until I push the clutch pedal in

I didn't notice this sound when I first bought it but I've noticed that there's always a grinding type noise at all times until I push the clutch pedal in. The sound is there even when the car is in neutral and idling.

Any thoughts on what this could be? Nothing seems wrong with the car but I want to replace whatever it is that's making that noise.

Assuming its not an actual grind, and its just a whirring sound, then it's normal. Here's a few threads about it.

I just got paranoid I guess. Just spent 15k on this 02 thinking there wasn't anything wrong with it.

It's easy to do. The S2000 can be a noisey car, especially AP1's. Sometimes its hard being able to tell whether its a normal noise or not.

Typically, if it's the TO bearing, the noise will get louder when pressing in on the clutch pedal rather than letting go of the clutch.

input shaft bearing? If it was the throw out bearing it would be making noise when the press is clutched in.
