Me and my dad are lowering his 02 s2000. and we had a question as to which spring goes where. Do the stiffer springs go on the front or the back. Two of them have a 58 at the end of the parts number and two have a 67. Any suggestions would be helpful.
This is on Ground Control Coilovers on Koni Yellow shocks.
There should be 3 numbers separated by 2 dots stamped on each Eibach Race Spring. The first number is spring rate, 2nd the free length, 3rd the coil wound diameter. Depending on date of delivery, the numbers may show inches or mm. The bigger the first number notifies the stiffer spring. I'm surprised you get 58 and 67. That's like 2.25" and 2.5" which Eibach do make both but I wonder why the different diameters.
My two different sets of Eibach springs have two different numbering systems. The set I got in Mar/April of 2004 look like this. At that time, I was told the spring rate was 380... now it's 375.
The set I purchased last year, but just installed, are numbered like this on both the box and spring. The number that also appears on the spring like the one above(10311) is different- 145628. I have no idea what those two numbers represent.
the ones with the 58 and 67 are ground control springs made by eibach
the other ones you have are eibach springs, thats why the part numbers are different

Thanks. FWIW, I ran 67's at all four corners with a Gendron front swaybar.
