when i turn on my headlights, my right side h.i.d. will probably stay on for a couple minutes and it will just turn off by itself. i was wondering if anyone had this problem. i already cleaned out my ground to see if that was the problem but it wasn't. i haven't had time to switch the bulb to see if that's the problem. if that's not the problem then i'm assuming it's my ballast. i was also told that the dealer should fix the problem if it's within 30 days of purchasing the car. it's a 2001 with 30,000 miles on it. thanks for the help.

 

Odd, I thought the ballast was just to get the things going. Once they start "burning" the ballast isn't needed anymore.

If you only have 30K on the car, I'd be worth a trip to the dealer to get it fixed. HID parts are quite expensive (even just the bulbs).
