Default HID lights intermittent problem

So tonight my driver side headlight flickered and then went out. Later i realized that turning off the headlights and on again after a second, both headlights work for roughly 2-3 minutes. Im just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem or know of how to fix it. I read that a relay could work but tomorrow im going to take apart the bulb and put the old stock one back in and see if its the bulbs fault.

If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know.

bought the bulbs at xenonking.com and its 8000k McCulloch's fyi

wish me luck tomorrow that its just the bulb.

I had a ballast going bad on mine, but when I replaced it I put in new bulbs... Bulbs started flickering a few days later... Stockers back in and they have been fine since.

I heard really good things about McCulloch. Just put in the oem bulb and it works fine. Must be the bulb. Hopefully they don't screw me on the warranty

Bulbs from cheap HID kit sites like the one you bought from are really low quality. Best bet is to stay with OEM quality Philips or Osram HID bulbs. 8000K is a little ridiculous for street driving too IMO, you're losing a ton of light output. I wouldn't suggest anything over 6000K for steet driving.

Just get a name brand bulb from a box store or a online retailer. OEM bulbs are good, but paying the OEM price is crazy, when all they are are off the shelf parts.
