Default Half-shaft diameter

I'm assuming the PO had replaced the DS half-shaft, but I'm not sure. While stripping and undercoating the car, I noticed it's about twice the diameter of the passenger side between the boots. Every replacement axle I've ever bought was the same size as the OE part, minus a set of DSS heavy duty axles I installed in my MS6. Any thoughts??

The small diameter axle is a poor quality unit.

I have had them shake right out of the box brand new.

The large one is hollow, high precision, oem.

Thanks for the reply billman; it's not shaking so I'll leave it alone until it needs changed.

Hey Bill, do you have the diameter measurement of the OEM axle by chance? Thanks
