hard clutch?
My clutch pedal seems get hard/stuck at the top at the pedal, i have to kick it down to get into gear, the problem is only at the top of the pedal after i kick it it smooths out, but after a minute or so of not clutching it goes hard/stuck... any ideas?
Look way up under the dash where the clutch pedal linkage extends into the firewall. Look for any leaking or staining in that area. Check the clutch fluid level under the hood. If the fluid is low you can refill it and see if it is leaking out. If you see leaking fluid on the inside of the car then it needs to be replaced.
Could also help to grease the clutch fork, smooth out the slave pin's ball end and grease that up too. It is a common fix to a rough, hard, or sticking clutch pedal.
If the master cylinder is good and greasing the easy stuff doesn't help, then it could be your throw out bearing guide is dry and getting scraped up by the throw out bearing. Fixing this involves dropping the transmission. Lets hope the previous suggestions get you there.
