Default Shallow Clutch?

I was wondering if anyone on here could help me diagnose a problem I've been having with the clutch.

When I got the car 3-4 months ago the clutch felt good but now it seems to be very shallow. When I push down on the clutch it's completely slack until the last 20% or so. It's very annoying to drive and is also causing reverse to be very hard to engage (I have to use both hands to engage the gear). I don't know a whole lot about clutches, but I have heard that master/slave cylinder leaks are fairly common problems in our car so maybe I need to replace them?

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Check for a leaking slave cylinder. They are known to start leaking and you will notice brake fluid around the rod connected to the clutch pedal under your dash. Mine did this for two days and then went back to normal last year. It was very odd.

Mine did this. It's a leaky clutch master cylinder. Check your clutch fluid level, I bet it very low. You can fill and bleed the clutch temporarily but it would probably just slowly leak again.
