Default Hardtop from 2002 onto 2000

My brother just bought a Suzuka MY2002 S2000 that came with an OEM hardtop which he doesn't really care for. I offered to buy it and he gave the go-ahead. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I can take from his car without messing anything up and putting in my car (a berlina my2000). Will I need anything extra? I'm trying to find a good description of whats included in the hardtopguy kits but not really sure what I'm looking for..

If it matters, my vin number is above the 5730 number or whatever it is. Sorry if this has been covered before but I don't really see any hardware transfers from newer years to older years.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone could offer!

If it came with the top, it's likely he didn't get the original interior trim pieces that he'll need when you take the trim pieces you'll need for the HT hardware.
You'll need to take his rear catcher assemblies (L & R) and the trim pieces with the brushes on them (L & R). You'll need to buy (from Honda or HTguy) the wiring harness for the rear defogger, switch for the defogger and the switch housing that replaces the coin holder. You will also need to get the defroster relay to plug into the fuse panel. Oh, and the two (L & R) heavy duty HT windshield strikers.

xviper, the guy he bought it from bought the hardtop about 3 months after he bought the car. Does this help at all? He didn't get them both at the same time...

Then the previous owner should still have the stock trim pieces. Hopefully, he hasn't thrown them out. See, your '00 doesn't have the defroster in the soft top window like your brother's '02. That's why you need to get the extra switch gear and relay. Your '00 also doesn't have the HD windshield strikers. Unless your brother got the old ones separately so he can put them back onto his car once you take the HT, you will still need those strikers.

Thank you for your help xviper. I'm not worried about defroster and don't think I really need it. Also, I was just planning on switching my strikers with his. Will this work?

Yes. If you're not concerned about the defroster, all you need is to do this and take his rear catchers and swap trim pieces.
