Hardtop Installation Instructions
I am purchasing a hardtop and would like to know if anybody can tell me how to install it. My car is a 2000 model year and I was told by my Honda dealership, after they checked my VIN number, that I would not need to purchase adiditional hardware that other S2000 models would. Is this accurate? My dealer has been wrong on occassions before so I thought I might solicitate some input here. Also, what is exactly involved in the installation of the hardtop?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Here is the online installation instructions for an '00 HT:

I suggest you print this out. If you ordered a VIN specific HT, it should contain everything you need to put this HT to use. If your dealer simply ordered any HT, then it will not contain all the necessary hardware and wiring harnesses and relays.

Body Side Catcher? Switches?
I'm having my HT put on Dec 1st and I didn't have one of these on the last car. What is a Body Side Catcher?
And once all these extra pieces are installed, do you notice any difference like down in the brushes area of the car?
Why is there and extra switch for the defroster? Doesn't it just come on when you would hit the defroster that's present already?
How hard are these to remove and replace once the initial installation has been done?
I've noticed some circular connectors with caps on them on the sides of the roll bars. Are these the new(04) connectors for the defroster?
I was thinking I could install this myself in the garage... Geeesh!
