Default Hardtop Tape Question

I purchased a used hardtop and noticed that there seems to something missing where the front edge of the top joins the windshield frame. In checking the parts book, there is are parts shown, both referred to as "tape"; Tape A. FR Roof (85123S2A900) and Tape B, FR Roof (85124S2A900).

Do I need both and exactly where do they go?

Thanks

The tape is a clear strip to protect the painted edge of the top. Two actually. One overlaps the other. I replaced mine with a piece of paint protection film, or clear bra material. I stopped by the local installer and asked it he had any scraps. He had a pile on the floor. Then I cut two strips 7/8" by something, you'll have to measure. Free and it is working great. Seem like it was very expensive if purchased from Honda.

It cost me $40 shipped for the OEM Tape A from Honda, it's ridiculous! michael_s has the right idea, go with that option.

My problem now is removing the gnarled up old one on there. It won't come of cleanly in one piece. I'll try to use a heat gun next time.

it was missing off my used oem top, I never replaced it and never noticed any negative effects from not having it. The paint never wore down at all. The oem price is crazy expensive in my parts so I figured not worth the cost.

Did you manage to remove the old tape with a heat gun?

Interesting- I've never seen this tape in jvf1's CR hard top- and I've helped him take it on and off dozens of times. I'll have to pay attention more next time.
