You have a bad cap. No different than my scenario. A new one solved the problem

Don't get another possible faulty Mishimoto cap. Just spring for a JDM or an American counterpart. Mishimoto is Chinese. I went with the Spoon cap.

What I don't understand is if their manufacturing is so bad why do people keep buying them?

Their rads are great. Their caps are not.

People keep buying them because they offer excellent performance for cheaper than their competitors.

with air in the system, can't you suck all the air out with a push pull type of vacuum, or pressure the coolant system to force the air out.. i dunno..

has to be a way to really get all the air out

FWIW...I didn't have any problems with my Misho rad/cap on our 8500+ mi roundtrip to Homecoming II last year

As with any product, YMMV...

Hey guys i'm having a problem. I just got my car back from the body shop, and they also replaced my A/C condensor and radiator. I drove it home and the car started to overheat, it went up to 4 bars without much driving. So I got home and found out they didn't put any coolant in the tank at all, only in the radiator. I filled it to the MAX level and drove it and I havent seen it overheat again yet, but now my heater still won't blow hot air, just cool. I tried to follow a few steps on bleeding the coolant system but I failed horribly. I only got a tiny bit of coolant to come out of both points, and can't get anymore to come out unless the car is running. Also I havent seen my fans come on at all yet...

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

a bit off topic but is it necessary to change out our radiators for an aftermarket one?

No.

suzuka-blue-s2k: Did you jack your car up so your rad cap was the highest point in the system?

It's been so long since I did this I'm having a hard time recalling how I was finally successful bleeding all the air out of the system.
