Has anyone even stated what the problem is yet? I have a crappy chinese radiator and it cools just fine.
Here are the elements that make a good radiator:
Good sealing
Good cap
Good water flow
Good airflow
Good thermal conduction
I'm guessing if the Mishimoto is no good it must lack one of more of these. Anyone care to venture a to which it is?

This is the exact same thing that happened to me when I got my Koyo. I had a thread about it, but wasn't as able to describe the scenario in mechanical terms. I had it bled, had the thermostat changed, bled again, and nothing worked. I then purchased a Spoon radiator cap, bled again, and viola!
I have read that Mishimoto and Koyo rad caps are notorious for dying within a month of use. I know Mishimoto is a Chinese company. I'm assuming Koyo had their caps made in the same factory, same as a lot of JDM parts these days.

On a related note, after being perfectly chills for soem time, my temp gauge spiked 3 bars more than normal tonight with a chilly ~65 degree weather. I drove off without warming up the engine and drove casually with normal shifts at 3500-4000rpm. Odd.
On a side note, my heater doesn't get hot as quickly anymore since I got the Koyo rad. It takes a couple minutes after my engine has warmed up to normal operating temp. When everything was OEM, it used to heat up within 20 seconds of engine start-up. Is this because of the new rad or is something amiss?

sorry to bring the dead back but just came across this thread because i got the same problem.
Mishimoto radiator, hopefully its just the cap. I'll try and get a new one and bleed the system again.
Car info.

It is a bummer with these cheaper aftermarket radiators, esp when a Chinese company attempts to sound like a Japanese company, i.e. Mishimoto. Koyo, I believe, is Japanese but made in Indonesia. The cap should be the first to be changed. There was a review a while ago about a long-term extensive test between a Japanese and a Chinese radiator cap. Needless to say, the Japanese cap held up fine while the Chinese camp was completely warped.
