If you happen to live in the salt belt the header wrap will trap salts. That will lead to hot salt corrosion. Keeping the heat in the header keeps the exhaust gas hotter which means less expansion of the gas.

ok, so what? lol. is this an advantage or disadvantage and wouldn't more heat mean MORE expansion of gas??

wrapping is good in my own opinion...i would do it to all the cars i will own in the future...

just jet hot it. wrapping is ancient tech. and destroys the metal.

anybody ever heatwrap there exhaust? stock or aftermarket?
what are the benefits to this?
where to buy wrap/what brand do you use?

i did...lots of fun if you are into doing the work on your car, but also very dirty(i.e. fiberglass from the wrap.) i followed some simple instructions i found on the site here, painted then wrapped. i dont know about performance gains, but i did notice a little louder exhaust note.
