Default Headlight Out

For the last couple days my driver side headlight would work fine, then flicker for about 10 seconds, then go out. Now the drivers side low beam will not function at all. High beam is functioning fine.
I did notice a little moisture buildup on the inside of the clear plastic covering the headlights.
Anyone have problems with these going out?
I don't think that the moisture would have too much to with it, considering the high beam is working fine.
Any suggestions before I bring it in??????

thanks
brendan

If it's not the bulb, you have moisture in the HID ballast unit. Moisture finds it's way down the steel braided wire, past the two-wire grommet, and in to the ballast. you can take the cover off the ballast and dry it with compressed air and it will work fine. The cover must be re-sealed with silicone. When done, pull back the braided cover and put some silicone in the area of the red and black wire.

Does anyone have any pictures on how to accomplish this? or simple step by step instructions? I am experiencing the same problem and need both my headlights to work for an upcoming road trip!

See the Clear diffuser installation instructions on http://www.ricks2k.com. See the "Clear Diffuser Conversion Shipping Details" for how to remove the ballast from the headlights. And see "Clear Diffuser Installation Instructions" for how to take them off of the car.

You need a new bulb. I've gone through one...expensive for just the bulb. you can access the old bulb through the wheel lining or you can take your bumper off, easier to go through the wheel lining.

How expensive would you say for one bulb? I would imagine Honda Service would charge an arm and a leg to replace it? This is the first time I have had to do this.
