Default Headlight reassembly

I am clearing my headlights and am having trouble pressing them back together tight enough.
I have all but one or two tabs locked but can't get it any tighter. I also noticed a small smudge that might be on the inside of the lense, is there any way to fix without cracking them back open? I am thinking of just putting a lot of silicone on the seam so they are sealed enough. I am also baking them with HID in and Ballast on, is that ok to do?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

NOOOO The capsule will melt and blow and you'll melt parts inside the ballast.

after you were done clearing did you throw itback in the oven for a little bit to remelt the current glue?? if not do that then press them and they should fit great. Also it's ok to put the bulbs and stuff in there... doing it with the ballast is okkkk but not really recommened.... you won't "melt" anything in there , but you can cause the solder on the boards to shift....

Well I have both appart right now to clean the inside and finish clearing. I guess I want know if I damaged the HID's until I put them on the car. Everything looks fine. Oh well if the screw up I will get 04's. I hope there fine though. I am going to bake them for 15 minutes before I put them back together and tie them up tight, then maybe put a little on the seem on the outside. Does sound like enough to keep them sealed?

I can not get one to go back together so I am scraping some old goo out and reheating them to see if the will go back together. I hope there is enough silicone left on there. I might seal the seams when i get them together. You think that will work?
