Has anybody ever taken that hear mat thing thats under the hood and removed it??? My main question is if it is hazardos to take that off... It's kind of goofy but i want to put all my manufactorer stickers underneath my hood and i was curious if anyone has removed it

 

Its there for noise insulation and fire protection

 

It woudn't hurt if you take it off. Many people that have aftermarket hoods don't have it on.

 

Would anything happen to the paint over a long period of time??? That's my main concern.

 

I don't think it would effect the paint. Youd should be alright. The outside of your car is subjected to pretty high tempretures in direct sunlight
