Default Heater problem

Hi,
During these cold weather my AP1 has a very inconsistent heat blow from the vent. Please help me on this problem, I am afraid there is hidden problem due to come out. Sometimes my car doesn't have heat at all during the whole trip, but the water temp gauge has 3 bar. Where should I start?

Thx

maybe you have air in the system.take it in to a machanic you trust and have it checked out if you are not machanicly inclined.

^ what he said.

When I had a coolant leak due to a faulty hose there was air introduced into my cooling system so the air blowing from the heater vents was luke warm at best, and even cool at times even while the heat was on full blast.

Also, check to make sure you have adequate coolant in your reserve tank. A good coolant flush/bleed and refill should solve your heating problems.

Good luck.

It's unlikely since he says he has 3 bars on his temp gauge and the cold weather he's having. But I guess that's possible.

Thx for the advise, I took the car for a long trip yesterday. The problem seems fix by itself, heater works perfectly today.

probably air in the coolant lines then.. i would check your coolant level now and top it up back to the max line.
