Default helicoil back out.

I picked up a s2000 a few months back from my buddy , good maint up keep car ran good had a few flaws but nothing major.

i went to change the plugs out and i pulled one out and a helicoil came out with it. i was able to thread it back into the block but now im stumped on what todo. just buy a new head have the old one fixed or what.. like i said i ended up just putting that one plug back in with the helicoil so i can drive the car. it runs great no issues what so ever. but it bugs me bc i know thats there

ive never actualy ran into this problem before. lmk what your 2 cents is.

A heli-coil insert can come out and be put back in.

Put the helicoil back in with out the plug, then put the plug in.

If both go in smooth, and the threds are good and you can get proper torque on the plug, you are good to go. helicoil is just as strong.

yeah it held the tourqe. i was just skeptical bc if i ever decided to boost the motor. or decide to hit the track that it will hold up.

On many race cars they only use helicoil style threads, it should be fine for your turbo setup.
