I have a fd try to sell his S2000 to me. As I know, he installed omptech SC with AC without ESM. But of course, he install back the ESM after he find out. He already took out the SC and sell it as stock. I really want to know will it casting any damage to the engine and is it good to buy a supercharged car. Also, what should I be carful and run any test before I buy the S2000? I'm kind of new to S2000. Hope anyone can answer my question.

Check compression, it will give you some key insight into the life of the motor

if you run the SC without a ESM or any other fuel management system, you will blow the motor

ANY supercharger/Turbo will work the car harder, therefore shortening it's life, but by how much, it's hard to tell.

Start with a compression test (warm) and report back

 

So what is the standard psi I should get in compression test? And if the psi different more than 10%, it's meaning the motor is bad?
