Keep us posted on your situation.
I replaced mine, backed out of the garage and ..............tic, tic, tic, it started making the noise after a moment.
Pulling the SC was a pain.
I'm waiting to here your outcome.

I just replaced the TCT last year, at a little under 70k.
Quick update.
Went to another dealer, and as the first dealer I visited they found the tick to be a usual engine sound.
I tried explaining that it is something new that developed in the last month and asked if anyone could listen to the timing chain tensioner with a stethoscope. Since they could not hear the tic inside the car they asked to pop the hood and hear it from the front, unfortunately the engine noise drowns down the ticking sound making the experiment useless.
The service person said that they can not take the car for further inspection unless there is a clear sign, and since they find the sound normal and that there are not any TSB's or any other info from Honda they will not take it.
My warranty expires this Friday. How can I show that the noise is not normal with out them looking at the car more closely? Any specific area of the car where it is heard the most? Or is it just all in my head and it truly is a normal operational sound of the engine?
I tried looking for the sound clip on s2ki billman mentioned, but could not find it. It is very clear tick, like a sewing machine or a playing card in a bicycle spoke, as other's have described, heard vividly inside the cabin between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm (especially in an enclosed parking garage).
I am close to just buying the part and replacing it myself. Anyone knows a trusted mechanic down here in San Diego? If I do fix it myself, do you guys suggest I write a letter to AHM as a favor to anyone else experiencing this problem? Even better, is there an address I could send the damaged part?
Thank you all in advance,
Kyle.
PS
I apologize for this thread hijack, but since I already started...
