Try parking the car in 1st and leaving the Ebrake off to see if it still does it. We've never had this happen but all the cars are always garaged.

To support this answer, my car never sees rain anymore, and is always garaged. Haven't had the POP issue since.

The rear brake pads will rust to the rotors if the car is parked overnight, and even if you disengage the the parking brake, the first time you try to roll the car you'll get a loud "bang" when the pads release - it's harmless.
This EXACTLY happened to me. I'm glad it's harmless. I let my handbrake go and trying to start moving. The car does not move and at first I thought someone pranked on me and put some rocks in front of my tires, but no. I hit accel a bit harder then there's "POP!!!!", the car starts moving. Never happened again.
